Assunta (Usha) and Barbara (Saraswati) travel to India together to commemorate their dance teacher Kalakshetra K.P. Kunhiraman's 80th birthday in Chennai, with teachers Katherine Kunhiraman and K.P. Yeshoda. Friends for 35 years, and dance partners for several of those years, they return to India together for a three month journey.
